Marking its sixth consecutive year and narrated by CBS Sports announcer Bill Macatee, “The Road to the PGA Championship” also features the 44th PGA Professional National Championship conducted in June, which was the springboard to a 20-player delegation earning berths in the 93rd PGA Championship, Aug. 8-14, at Atlanta Athletic Club in Johns Creek, Ga.

Hutsell, the 40-year-old PGA director of instruction at The Elkridge Club in Baltimore, captured his first PGA Professional National Championship, June 29, in a three-way playoff at Hershey (Pa.) Country Club. Hutsell is the third Middle Atlantic PGA Section member to capture the National Championship and will make a second consecutive appearance in the PGA Championship.

Joining Hutsell in the PGA Championship will be four featured PGA Professionals, who each share a compelling story reflecting their career and a quest for competing at Atlanta Athletic Club.

The featured PGA Professionals include Sean Dougherty of Overland Park, Kan., a 32-year-old PGA head professional at Milburn Country Club in Overland Park, who makes his major debut.

Scott Erdmann, 34, of Tigard, Ore., is the PGA assistant professional at Oswego Lake Country Club in Lake Oswego, Ore. Erdmann holds dual citizenship in New Zealand and the United States, and will make his Championship debut.

Marty Jertson, 30, of Phoenix, Ariz., the senior design manager for PING who is credited for the design of the Anser forged iron, earned his PGA Championship debut.

Craig Stevens, 50, a PGA teaching professional at Steel Canyon Golf Club in Sandy Springs, Ga., makes his third PGA Championship appearance. As the only Georgia PGA Section member representative, Stevens is one of three PGA Club Professionals who also competed at Atlanta Athletic Club in the 2001 PGA Championship.
